Completed a 6 week online course for new Foreign Student Advisors and Designated School Officials offered by NAFSA: the Association of International Educators. The course gave me a solid understanding of the immigration regulations pertaining to F-1 students and dependents and best practices for international student advisors. In addition, the course covered the technical processes for maintaing student immigration records in SEVIS as required by the Department of Homeland Security, the USCIS and SEVP.
